Prof. R.K. Khandal is former President, R&D at India Glycols Limited and Former Vice–Chancellor of Uttar Pradesh Technical University. He is also fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry, London. Apart from this, he is also former Director of Shri Ram Institute for Industrial Research, Delhi. He has been also elected as President of World Association of Ind. & Tech. Organization (2010-12 & 2012-14). He is also serving as expert member in high level committees of GOI such as in Ministry of Science &Technology, Ministry of Child & Women Welfare, Ministry of Food Processing Industries, RAC of CSIR, DRDO. He has guided 30 PhDs. Five edited book, 15 International Patents and 115 research papers are credited to him. He has been awarded many prestigious awards. To name few: INSME award for innovation, R.N. Bangur Memorial award for novel technologies, R.G. Deshpande award for radiation processing, U.P. Ratna Award, Rajasthan Samman Award, Meri Dilli award etc.
